The Virgin Mary of Guadalupe

The streets of San Cristobal de Las Casas celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12th. People show their devotion to their patron saint, La Virgen de Guadalupe, in many ways such as decorating the streets and their cars as they make processions around town. They make a pilgrimage to the Church on the top of the hill to show they respect. There are also many rides, snacks, sweet treats and vendors along the way. It's a very festive few days!
